PMA Banking on 20,000 Visitors for Sydney Expo

PMA - Photo Marketing Australia is expecting more than 20,000 visitors to attend this year’s PMA Imaging & Entertainment Expo in Sydney, a 20% increase on the 2009 show held at the Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre.
PMA is hoping the Sydney expo, which will be held in conjunction with the Framing Show, will match the record-breaking attendance of 23,000 at last year’s Digital Life Expo in Melbourne, which launched PMA’s entry in the wider home entertainment and mobile communications CE categories.
Despite the absence of Kodak, Sony, Samsung and Sanyo, PMA consulting sales manager John Bourne told PIN Online that PMA was pleased with the support for the Sydney show, which has attracted more than 100 exhibitors, including Panasonic, HP, Epson, FUJIFILM, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Ricoh and Olympus.
Major distributor Adeal has also returned to the PMA show, having opted for its own roadshows in recent years. The Camera House group will also be involved on a trade level as will most major imaging products distributors.
For the first time, consumer will have access to the show all day Saturday and Sunday (June 25 and 26) with trade and business visitors having exclusive access on Friday, June 24.
Over the weekend, home entertainment connectivity will be the theme at an enlarged show theatre where leading consumer electronics experts will demonstrate and explain how the modern camera, 3d and internet integrate with home living.
For consumers, a special ‘Bring Your Photos to Life’ photo workshop will be led by well known photographer Shelton Mueller.
In addition to the Professional Photographer of the Year judging, more than a thousand photos will be on display in the Epson Photo Gallery.
PMA Director Peter Rose said: “This is the most exciting and diverse show we have ever staged in Australia and builds on the successful new programs we introduced in Melbourne last year.”

VMware, a global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, is the fastest growing IT company in Australia. vForum (formally Virtualization Forum), their flagship event, focuses on the practice of virtualization technology and infrastructure. The Forum is attended by members of the IT community who are users, implementers and decision-makers and influencers of virtualization within their organisation, as well as the VMware Partner Ecosystem.
